  • Part A - Community Needs Score:

    Slot awards are evaluated based on whether your Site aligns with community needs. For example, if an Early Learning Hub identified a specific zip code as a geographic location of need, the Evaluation Committee will be searching for that specific zip code in your Application. Refer to Section 4 of RFA document for information on scoring.

    At this time only sites who score 3 points will be considered for slot award. Applicants who score lower may be added to the PSP Applicant Waitlist for future consideration.

  • Preschool Promise requires programs to meet minimum and target salary ranges for Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers (see table below). Programs may provide anticipated salary ranges if staff are not yet hired.

  • 9. Staffing Model (5 points):

  • Preschool Promise requires a 1:9 adult‑to‑child ratio and specific qualification levels for instructional staff assigned to Preschool Promise classrooms(see Exhibit A, Part 1.2 of the Sample Grant Agreement).

    Please describe your staffing model for the Preschool Promise classroom(s), including:

    • The number and roles of staff who will be assigned to the Preschool Promise classroom
    • The qualifications and relevant experience of any staff who will be assigned to the Preschool Promise classroom, if already hired
    • How your staffing model will ensure compliance with the 1:9 adult‑to‑child ratio during all Preschool Promise service hours
    • If you are not fully staffed, describe your hiring plan, recruitment strategies, and timeline for hiring qualified staff specifically for the Preschool Promise classroom

    Applicant must score at least 28 points in this section to be considered eligible.
